Herpes zoster, colloquially known as shingles, is the reactivation of varicella zoster virus, leading to a crop of painful blisters over the area of a dermatome. It occurs very rarely in children and adults, but its incidence is high in the elderly (over 60), as well as in any age group of immunocompromised patients.
Has anyone had severe ear problems after having Shingles?
I had Shingles in April/May of 2010. They were on my left hip. Shortly after the shingles disappeared, I started having problems in my left ear -- feeling plugged, noises making me dizzy, etc. They tell me it's not likely that the Shingles caused it, but I'm not so sure. It seems like too much of a coincidence that they would be so close together.
I still itch from the shingles, but thankfully the pain went away. I still have major problems with my ears.
Anyone else have this kind of experience?

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

Turns out I have fibromyalgia, and part of the problem I was dealing with my hearing is directly related to fibromyalgia physical symptoms. The other interesting factor is that my sinuses create a bellowing sound which can drive me ...., and yes, it was worth the effort to find this wonderful person.
