Herpes zoster, colloquially known as shingles, is the reactivation of varicella zoster virus, leading to a crop of painful blisters over the area of a dermatome. It occurs very rarely in children and adults, but its incidence is high in the elderly (over 60), as well as in any age group of immunocompromised patients.
You all know how painful shingles is...it was one of the most painful experiences i've ever had...I got shingles when i was in the hospital with kidney failure for 2 months so it took some time for it to be discovered because it was on my lower, LOWER back so they thought it was a bedsore for a while. Now I have an ugly scar on the top of my ass and was wondering if anyone was able to get rid of their scars and how??
Hoping you have recovered from your kidney issues. Hmmm, I am wondering about the scars also. Mine are all over the front of my lower chest area and travel around to the back near the spine. Quite a lot of scarring I must say.
I don't know how long the scars last either. Looking for answers just like you are.
