An Idea About Why We Love Crafting

We are living in a very unkind world. It was not Gods intent for it to be so but that was ruined in the Garden. Since that time, men and women have continued to be sinners, unkind and unloving. Even within our families do we find major stressors. Major haters.

When I make something pretty it makes me smile...brings me joy. Especially if its sparkly. Im a sparkle junkie when it comes to jewelry. Anyway, crafts don't hurt us (with the exception of hot glue guns), they ask nothing of us and they leave us with peace. Then when you give it to someone, it brings them joy, which in turn does the same for you.

So since they don't talk back and grieve me, I will continue to craft. I hope this rings true with you all. May your next project bring you much joy!!

I hear what your saying, it does seem like a very cruel world at times with such cruel pple and cruel intentions, but its also a very loving world with such amazing pple. I know it doesnt seem it because its the bad that gets reported about on the news and not the good, but i firmly believe there is more good in the world than bad.

For me crafts is my escapism pure and simple, plus it gives me something to focus on when i'm thinking up ideas and such.

It brings me great peace to sit for hours with a project and see it come alive. It's such great therapy in an otherwise very stressful life.

I always think crafting draws me closer to God, He put a creative spark inside of us, so I fan it and feed it, A Yarn trip always pileswood on the fire for me.

I just always .was able to draw ...when I was a kid I would draw pictures to colour ..for the rest of my brothers and sisters ..we all had fun doing that ....when I was a teanager I would paint somthing ..and if it dident turn out just the way I wanted it to I would throw it out but my mother would take it out of the garbage ..and put it up some ware ...or I would give them to my brothers and sisters ....than I took a art class ...one year .....and I would be working on my drawing or painting what ever it was ...and I would look up and the hole class had changed ......no one bothered to tell me class was over ........I gess the teacher thought that was funny ...I could never get 10 out of 10 so finaly I asked him what I was doing wrong he said nothing I never give a perfict mark because people have diferant tastes ........my next class was mu is ...so I was always late ....had to get a late slip for a while after that I think the music teacher and the art teacher talked because I dident need to get any more late slips .....................when I am doing my art I can get so into it I louse track of time .............it is a part of me ....of who I am .......take care ..God bless

    70F rain expectedThe rain is ok but not while I'm on my way to cardiology appointment. This is the quarterly EKG and lab work and just general check up on how the meds are working and I'm feeling. The meds have kept me out of A-fib and for that reason I want nothing changed, my cardiologist listens to what I have to say and for that I'm thankful. Pt went well yesterday and I'll do my excercises...
