It has been pretty intense in here lately so it was great to see twyliah's post about feeling hopeful
I also want to share some positivity. I developed a passion for photography after my husband died. It turned into such a healing activity for me but for the last several months I just couldn't work up the energy or interest to get out my camera. A couple of weeks ago a friend ask me to do some shots for the cover of her second book. I didn't hesitate because she is my bestie but I was scared I was out of practice and I just wasn't feeling it. It turned out that I got some pretty good shots. Now just the other day I was asked to do some newborn shots for an ex coworker who is having her first baby!!! I am so excited. It has been so long since I have felt that excitement. I can't wait until the weekend when I can hit the second hand shops for some cool props :-).

Blaine...the trick is in doing the photo shoot by 3 weeks. They don't wiggle as much :-)
It seems to have cooled off now and I feel good vibes again here!! So sorry to the new members who had to live through that as it is so RARE on this site. Please do not lose faith as there are sooo many good people here who will support you all and give good advice along with unconditional acceptance. At least that has been my experience.
All my best to those who are reaching out for something positive - I have my balcony that I retreat to and am collecting Jasmine and Gardenia varieties to make a fragrant garden. Going well- add two new jasmine today - very happy to have found them. One is the jasmine you can make jasmine tea and fragrant rice with. Just love the double duty of such!

I understand better than I say (Isnt' something I'm fully ready to talk about) I do know though, the things that have kept me going the last few years are a precious angel who needs her mama, and trying to find a new dream to share.
Part of finding those dreams is learning about yourself and what you love. How brave, to take back up photography because a friend asked.. then seeing how well you did. It's something to remember, now go out and enjoy putting the world behind that lense (Either hobby or professionally) just have fun!
Photography is a wonderful hobby/profession. I'm not drawn to it but I do love to garden. I imagine it brings on the same type of relaxation that photography does for you. To be able to lose yourself in something other than day to day life is a blessing.
Enjoy time with the baby and your beloved camera!

MusicalHeart: My world did turn upside down and inside out. I am still working out some things in reference to that. One thing I know for sure that almost 7 years later I am a better, stronger person because of it.
