I was wondering if anyone has questioned their sexual orientation as a result of being sexually abused?
Also, have any of you developed sexual preferences or behaviors that you think may be related to the abuse you've experienced? For example, I have an attraction to older men (like old enough to be your father) and I'm also turned on by being completely dominated in a rough way (it's kind of sick no? I was abused once and had no control over the situation, and now I'm turned on by the thought of someone doing that).

No. I always liked guys my age. I knew I was something that liked boys. I didn't have a word yet. I have a boyfriend now. I flinch when ever he touches my back in public or my butt. I think everything he does, it's like a war tactic to get to the eventual prize, my butt. I know it's wrong but I'm not normal yet. He hold me a lot at night. My parents let Aaron (my bf) sleep with me at night. I am beginning to feel secure again. I am beginning to kiss him again and let him touch me like a brother. We wrestle--doctors orders. He even comes to my therapy with me and we work on intimacy with my doctor and my Mom there. It's hard.

I feel a safety with my relationships with women that I have trouble attaining with men. I can achieve a level of intimacy much easier with a women than with a man, and I don't mean sexually (talking, opening up etc). I am absolutely attracted to men but it's just so much more complicated. It's all confusing really. Sometimes, I wonder if it's all just my mind or thoughts trying to find a way for me to not have to confront my issues.

I feel I am heterosexual, but I grew up in a very messed up situation that included essentially being prostituted out to men. I was receiving anal sex at a young age, and although it was very painful it was also intensely pleasurable in many ways and although I didn't know the name for it at the time I would have orgasms and eventually ejaculations from it. As an adult, I am not attracted to men, nor do I want to be in a relationship with a man. Yet I find myself craving anal sex, and have infrequently allowed myself to be seduced by men. Once the act is concluded I want to just run away. I feel sick and guilty. I fantasize about transsexuals a lot. They seem (in porn at least) to be the ideal...a woman who can take me the way that gives me the ultimate pleasure. Anyway, thanks for giving me the chance to share this.

After being probably molested my an older woman (probably in early 30s), I now cant stand being touched especially by women who are older than me. I do have feelings almost like craving to be molested again now and it disgusts me.

Some of your responses make me wonder if some aspects of how or who abused us become fetishes when we enter adulthood. For example; fantasizing about being molested or raped again, enjoying specific sexual acts that are related to how we were abused or being attracted to people who resemble our abuser.
