well this morning i Recieved a letter from my work stating that my Company sick pay is due to stop on the 21st Nov and im due to return to work on the 16th Nov :s bt is my work place was where the attack happened in my bedroom and ill be going bk n staying where it happened:S scares me a little and iv only just started therapy bt i wont be able to continue whn i return to work ... i need some advice should i return on the 16th or get sickline and only be paid half :(

You need to do what is right for you. Have you looked into getting another job. I am curious as to what job you would have that has a bedroom at it. I do understand your diress at returning to work. I was once verbally assualted at work. The guy said he wanted to throw me on a mat and take me. He was know for abusing women and the way he said it scared me. I didn't want to get caught any place where the two of us would be alone. I told my husband and our boss. The boss said boys will be boys. I eventually quit. So many people just don't get what it feels like to be scared. If you feel you need therapy and your are scared to go back then if you can find another job and see if you can work around your therapy. Hope that helped some

heya dragonteach yea iv applied for 4 more jobs in 5 star hotels waitng to hear bk i currently work in a 5 star hotel in scotland and live in staff accommodation . and i shall be returning to my accommodation as were it happend in 11 days:( i duno wat i should do as if i go off sick i wont get full pay bt if i go bk my health n sanity may suffer iv got councelling on wed and docs on thurs ill see wat they say and decide from there !

I was attacked at work too. I did go back and I couldn't handle it, I quit and found a diffent job. It was a long time ago but I still can't walk in there...

aww olianna what happened to you? ye im worried tht i go bk and everyone wil tlk abt me:S as the person who done it worked in the same department as us all... :S and with it being a big hotel lots of ppl must know ..:S im kinda scared and rite now being bk home is even tricky:S i still dont sleep i dunno:S

I worked at a small hotel with a pub at the bottom, two men came in just as I was closing up. One held me down and the other ...well lets just say it wasn't pleasant. I tried to go back, small community not alot of jobs, but after 2 weeks I couldn't do it. I'd have panic attacks and couldn't focus. I would have rather been broke. The worst part of it is that my boss basically told me it was my fault, I should have locked up before they got there. They walked in two minutes before closing time. It's been years and I still get upset walking by that building. In anycase take care, and stay stong.
