im not ok right now. At all. I thought it would get better but I’m feeling like an empty shell with a knife in my chest. On Friday night my boyfriend and I had some people over. We were drinking and having a good time. I blacked out after a few drinking games. I hadn’t done that in awhile but I wanted to let loose for a night. Well I woke up naked in my bed with my boyfriend yelling at his friend to get out. I was in and out of it and I remember bits and pieces but not really. My friend left amongst all the yelling. I was left there with my boyfriend and I was barely awake. I remember him giving me a shower. I woke up at 8pm the next day scared and confused in my bed. I ran out into the living room to see my boyfriend in the chair just angry at the world. I asked him what happened, and he said that his friend had taken advantage of me. That he hadn’t raped me but that he had done other things. I burst into tears and got really scared because I didn’t remember anything. My boyfriend was mad at himself For not preventing it from happening. He had contemplated suicide all day while I was asleep. The next few days we stayed home and away from the world. Whenever I worked my boyfriend would come with me. I could y be alone. My boyfriend was friends with the guys cousin, who he lived with. It turns out the dude got kicked out of his house, sent to New York and apparently is in jail there right now for unrelated things. I can’t sleep in my bed and have made a permanent palette in my living room for the time being. I can’t even go into my room without feeling an overwhelming sense of dread. I think there is a part of my boyfriend who blames me. I feel like he’s angry, and the combination of him losing his mind and me not being able to wrap my head around everything, is killing me. I keep having panic attacks, and I just want to feel ok again. It terrifies me that someone did this to me and I have no recollection of it whatsoever. All I have is what my boyfriend told me. I’m at work now by myself and alone with my thoughts. And I just want to feel better again.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

Repeating what arose said: It was NOT your fault in any way. The blame is solely on the abuser. Adding: It was NOT your boyfriend's fault. He did what he could to protect you. The blame is solely on the abuser.
Different people react with different emotions to such a traumatic event: Anxiety and anger are two possible reactions. Is there any chance you could get professional help? Both of you? Because the combination of him losing his mind and you not being able to wrap your head around everything is terribly difficult to deal with. Both of your reactions are more than understandable, it's just that it's really, really difficult to support each other like this.
Sending you lots of gentle, calming support
