Being intimate with someone was/is very difficult for me too as well as most who have experienced sexual abuse. What happens is intimacy becomes a trigger for us and it does feel like we are then plunged back into the abuse. Sadly this is very common. But you can heal and you can go on to have a life without your past continuously haunting you. Please, if you are not already working with a therapist, consider working with one. You can heal but it's unlikely that you will be able to do it on your own. A good therapist, perhaps one who specializes in sexual abuse, will validate how you are feeling and will be able to help you heal. You deserve to heal. ((Hugs))
