oh hun that hits soooooo close to home. after i told my mom about my abuse she was there a lil bit but then she was never there again, and it was never talked about again. i also crave her attention and i have done it and many different wrong way's but it never seemed to work but i keept pushing and now she's finally giving me the attention. i think what worked for her was that i wrote her a letter telling her EVERYTHING! from how i was feeling to the things i did to how i needed her. i think that help and i also think that going to my dad was what really started wanted her to be there because i started going to him and no her and she didn't like that so she started paying more attention. but maybe writing the letter to your mom might be a good idea. i hope everything goes good for you and hope you mom gives you the attention you need. if you want to talk you can write me on here.

I never told my mother, I never told anyone until I began therapy after falling into a major depression. Still, only my 2 sisters and 2 friends know.
I am the 3rd for 4 children; I love my sisters and brother and do not know what life would be like without them, but I also believe my parents had us too quick. (4 in 3-1/2 yrs).
I didn't get a lot of attention; in fact I was the scrawny one who got picked on and when I did complain I was told to ignore it, to go do something else. And if I pushed it I was the one to be punished.
I do not have a close relationship with my mother and never really did. I have alwasy looked for mother figures, hoping to get what I was missing. I did find women to fill this void but nothing that ever lasted.
As an adult now, with a niece and nephews, I am sensitive to this and make sure that I spend time with each of them.
