i hate death, i hate when people die on us. i feel so sad, i feel abandoned, left behind, so alone. why do i have to feel this way. i hate this feeling.
I just found out an old friend of mine died recently. and it reminds me of my aunt who died 6 years ago. i still miss her so much. i hate death.

Speaking only for myself, I think my anger is rooted in selfishness. How dare someone I love/like leave me that way?

I also get angry with God. So far, God has not expressed any anger with me for being angry with it.

If you ever get a chance, talk to someone who has died, medically, then been revived. I have never found one who was afraid to die again. In books and in person, they claim it is a good experience.

My own death is not too far away, right now I am living by the words of Captain Hook in the book Peter Pan. "Death is lifes last great adventure."

Of course, when my death comes closer, I may change my mind. lol

Death is always hard and we have to give ourselves time to be angry and to grieve. I had a friend die nearly twenty years ago and once in a while I still long for him and miss him and grieve again and wish he were alive and still my friend. Death feels so final and can leave us feeling alone and abandoned, especially when it is someone who is especially close. Your feelings are normal. Sometimes it takes years to come to accept peacefully the loss of someone we loved. Give yourself time.

I am sorry I have no real idea what you are experiencing as I have not had anyone I am close to pass away. I do often think about how I might feel if someone I cared about died and just doing that makes me so sad, scared and lost. I am sure that an actual death must be much more overwhelming. I do hope things will feel better for you in time.

My ex husband died in 2003. He lived in fear his entire life, was massively depressed and never diagnosed, and I have to think that he is happier now, with no fears and depression to torment him. What I hate is that he left behind his children and it still affects them. All of it. What he was when he was alive and his death. To me, it was a cruel trick of fate because he never really LIVED because of the fear, and his death was so shocking and unexpected. I think Crusty is right. I don't grieve for my dead so much as I grieve for the living that have to carry on without them.
