Yes! I was harrassed on this website actually. A 43 year old guy asked me a series of very personal questions regarding my sexual experiences and partners in a message. He continued as though this was some sort of a sick porn chat room and made absolutely inappropriate disgusting comments, such as telling me he had a , "chubby" and whatnot. It was absolutely sick and wrong.

I think a lot of people are harrassed at school. I am currently a sophomore in college. Any female who walks up into greek row better do so wearing sweatpants and with a big guy on her arm. I have seen so many girls in mini-skirts and whatnot walking down the street and getting grabbed by perfect strangers. It's amazing how common sexual harrassment is- they did a survey on or campus and 395 out of 795 students reported being sexually harrassed and on more than one occasion, these cases of harrassment have turned into physical sexual abuse. I think it's just awful!

Yes, harassment should never be tolerated. If that ever happened to me, I would charge the person so fast it would make their head spin.

I went to a really small college though. And it was for music and video, so there weren't really any frat-type guys there. It was mostly people who the frat guys picked on in highschool, so everyone was really cool and did not want to bother anyone.

One of my teachers in college hit on me though, not overtly. He is a young guy and he wasn't at all trying to get me to submit for better grades or anything.
He contacted me after I was out of school and I think he wanted to take me on a date or something, but I had a boyfriend by then. He was hot though, and I don't think it was harassment because I was flirting with him, too!

Thanks for responding to my post. It is an issue that is very important to me because I believe it still happens a lot. For some reason there is still a feeling among some people that certain people can be disrespected without consequences, and often it is women, AND IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY!! does anyone else know what I mean?

Often it is women who are the target of disrespect

I went on a couple dates with a guy from work but once he got what he wanted from me he stopped returning any calls. Then all of a sudden he started calling me lots of times in the early hours, this went on for months and has only jus stopped. I was all ready to do him for harrassment when he didn't call again. A lot of women are disrespected. When he started hitting on me I had just broken up with my first love and was heartbroken, which he knew and that is why he targeted me.

I think that men are guilty of harassing women more than women are of harassing men. I believe that there is still a lot that we have to acheive in that department, especially in countries where laws have not been designed to protect women at all.

However, I also think that females can get away with harassment way easier than males can. If males reacted to butt-grabbing, obsessive calling/stalking, and other sexually-charged behaviours in the same way that women do, that situation may be different.

Males (but I don't want to over-generalize) are just more willing to withstand that type of behaviour than females are. Maybe they feel like they have to "tough it out" because they are men.

It is really hard dealing with these things as a female, but I imagine dealing with the same issues we have as a male would be a lot more difficult. There just is less support for a harassed male.

I was harassed when I was younger in middle school by a class mate......It hurt pretty bad and took a toll on me the constant fingering and the comments I still live with the memories everyday not a day goes by
