Does anyone know?

I log in here everyday, but there is never anyone here.  I was abused by my older brother and was hoping there were others who might have been through the same thing.  Does anyone know a forum or other site where there are actually people who can give ideas and feedback real time?

There are people active on this board but many of us do not stay logged in for long periods of time.

There are also people here who were abused by family members and also by friends of family and/or neighbors. There is a good mix here.

I am very sorry you were abused by your brother. I was not sexually abused by my brother but I was physically and emotionally abused by him. It is very difficult when a family member treats us so horribly and I am sorry you went through this too. Please keep posting here as there are people who will respond.

You may also want to try the PTSD board at https://www.dailystrength.org/group/post-traumatic-stress-disorder-ptsd because that is usually a very active board. The only thing is that on that board not all members are survivors of sexual abuse - but some are.

From around age nine or ten until my age 15, my older brother (1.5 years older) coerced me into sex which went from curiosity to abuse in a relatively short time frame. I completely understand the fears, feelings and frustrations of not knowing who to talk to and sometimes even what to say. I am now a middle aged man (58) with serious PTSD, anxiety, depression and other symptoms and conditions having kept silent for so long. If you need someone to communicate with, please message me. I may not have the answers that you need but it's not something to hide any longer. You are a survivor.
