i'm taking a certification yoga course. i'm not sure what i want to do with it. i may find a place where i can volunteer and help children and adults who suffer from childhood trauma. i learned that the stress from childhood trauma settles in the hips. i practiced the other day for close to three hours. the feeling after was amazing. it lifted my emotional level, my confidence, and i was walking tall. i felt all that. i felt happy.

I've done yoga in the past with dvds but i just joined a yoga studio and there is nothing like taking a class with an instructor. I always feel terrific afterwards and plan to make it a priority. I also have my second accupuncture appointment tommorrow, i felt great after my first session.

Love the 'grasshopper' screen name, especially in reference to yoga...gave me an instant pleasant memories of the 'Kung-Fu' series with David Carradine!

LOL, BK! Me too! I have never tried Yoga, but your post makes me want to try it now! Anything that makes another survivor glow (and I can tell by your post that you ARE glowing!) is definitely worth trying!!

thank you for you replies! you know i read: trauma through a child's eyes and it taught me about sensation. yoga is all about that and breathing. it is doing wonders. ultimately i have to believe in myself. i do boxing and it helps with confidence. i also work out of my courage to heal book. i'm not going to my therapist of two years, but i know he is there for me. i have ups and downs but i'm dealing with them better.

I tried yoga, but I found some of the positions to be very triggering for me...I'm glad to hear that it's helped you though :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
