do i return to work?

i havent been on here in a long time

my problem is i had my occupational health meeting this morning with work and recieved an email from my HR manager stating me to go for meeting with my manager and the relations manager next friday as iv ben off work since 2nd oct 2011 due to being raped and abused at my place of work etc

do i agree to return to work on phased return or do i leave before they terminate my contract? the thing i miss most is the high pay :( im maxed out on loans and credit card bills etc:(

As hard as it is I think the best idea would be to try going back to work for a few hours at a time. If it doesnt work out well then at least you know you have given it a go and if it doesnt well then hopefully you can get a good letter of commendation to pass onto a potential employer.

yea i have since last nite decided to return to work on phased return :) fight bak and not let that guy hurt me any longer iv dwelled on it for months bt i am ready to fight and become stronger :) thanks for your advice xx

Since I last posted here I have left my work and have a new job in another 5* hotel :) living at home so hopefully it will be better

Would it be a good idea to get some advice from your counselor before making a decision. Also, it might be good not to plan ahead any further than that meeting. The employer might have some options you of which you are not yet aware.

If your counselor thinks you are ready to go back to work, t Think I I would give it a try If not, I wouldn't.. Also, regardless of what the counselor and your employers might say, I don't think I could go back unless I had some reasonable assurance I would be safe in the workplace.

I enjoyed most of the jobs I held. Some times, I would actually look for things to do on the job. .I used work as an escape from my 'real' life.

Perhaps you should also see a lawyer who is familiar with any law that might be involved..
