Does anyone know anything about covert sexual abuse? It is when a person (in this case a parent) looks at you sexual, remarks about you sexually, indicates they want to have sex with you basically, etc.
A stare can be like a touch, sexual remarks like molestation and exploitation, and indications of such interest an extreme invasion of privacy and even a threat. If this is happening to you, you have a right to speak up and reach out. It's not right.
Yes, what you've described is covert sexual abuse.
Is there someone who can help you deal with this? Perhaps a woman's center? A counselor if you're in school. A hot line for abuse.
Don't ignore these behaviors because they are inappropriate, create anxiety and are confusing. And in some cases may escalate.
