People who haven't been "there" won't understand, no matter how you explain it. Keep your head up. Breathe. N take it one second at a time.

No your not alone. And yes you should report this to the police. Out of all your friends you need to choose one friend you trust the most and let him or her in. Don't keep what happen inside. This person whom hurt you is weak. You have the power. It's not your fault for what happen. My heart goes out to you.

thanks for your advice guys yes iv been in contact wit police bt they droppred charges and yes my mum n dad know and 2 of my close friends who have stuck by me throught the police interviews medicals etc it is very hard and no1 reely understands wat im going through like i say i dont know how to cope today has been horrible i lay in bed whole day thinking crying etc pushing my friends who r close to me away and also self harmed:( and not ate or slept.. it happened 3 weeks ago and feels like im just relising now that it has actually happend as i blocked it out after the police had gone pls help! any advice would be grateful

I don't know where you live but if you are anywhere close to Ok City try contacting Matt Atkinson.

"He is a domestic and sexual violence response professional and behavioral scientist. He won the National Award for Excellence for his work with rape survivors, and his techniques are used in many crisis programs and treatment centers. He has established an annual Healing Retreat for trauma survivors, and is currently working to implement rape crisis response programs in rural communities."

If you do not live close to OK City, go to his website at www.resurrectionafterrape.org, and see if you can find his e-mail address. Then e-mail him asking for resources in your area. He may be able to give you some.

The next best thing to do if you don't live in OK is to find a therapist who knows how to work with rape victims, get Atkinson's book, Resurrection After Rape, and introduce it to that therapist if she is not already familiar with it.

It's very difficult for people who have not had similar traumatic experiences to understand those who have. I think they just want to believe that it's done and over with because it upsets their sense of a safe and predictable world.

But you and I know that it's not something you just "get over", it's an experience that is going to require hard work to process--but it can be done.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. And I am also happy that you have reached out because I believe you can heal though it will mean action on your part.

o my i feel for u and i am so sorry u are having to deal with the bs of rape try to stay strong try your best to not let it get the best of u try to find someone u trust and let it all out cry scream do what ever you think u need to to get this off ur chest and it takes a good bit of time to get threw this and really i don't think it ever is just gone ive been dealing with this for a long time but i try to take it day by day with my head above the water good luck if u need a ear im hear just message me anytime hugs to u best of luck

hey everyone thanx for ur reply im still waiting on theripist and im still pretty not good i still cant sleep i have nightmares everynite i have told my friend everything and she knows bt thinks it should be over with:S i also self harm and cry myself to sleep
