I was abused when I was 13-14 years old by my uncle (my mom's brother). My mom was murdered when I was 2 years old by my dad and me and my 5 siblings were raised by my grandparents (my mom's parents). They sent me to live with my uncle and his wife when I was 12. After I was there for about a year the abuse began. I kept it a secret for awhile until I got sick. My aunt took me to the doctor and she was told that someone had been trying to force themseleves in me. After the visit she asked me who and I told her. Of course she did not believe me. She made me tell him what I told her and then he said I was lying. Afterwards they decided to send me to therapy. Of course they did not go with me. To this day I don't remember what me and the therapist talked about. Needless to say he never came in my room again but I continued to stay with them until I was about 16. As I got older I realized that something was not right with me. I started going to a therapist when I was in my 30s and realized I was still angry and disgusted from the incident. She helped me through it. I wrote letters to him, his wife and my grandparents. They never responded but I felt better about what I had done. Years past and I told his daughters...he told them I was lying and I had a problem. Now they are all mad at me and not speaking. I DON'T CARE! This was taking control of me and I couldn't continue to let that happen.
