Sexual addiction, also sometimes called sexual compulsion, is a form of psychological addiction to sexual intercourse and other sexual behavior.
Yesterday I relapsed. I looked at porn and had a binge twice before bed. In frustration, stress and boredom, I allowed myself to succumb to my old self by reverting back to using porn just to get a dopamine high in order to get an emotional high. I feel bad because the last week I was doing so good. I was reading, spending time with family, and even had a successful hunting trip. Then I had to end it all with a relapse. I am ashamed to admit I messed up but I have messed up and I am letting this whole community know. It's not easy to abstain from things like this when you're surrounded by it every waking moment. Thomas Edison said the most certain way to succeed is to try one more time. I know I can do better and succeed. I just need to get back up, dust myself off, and try one more time. To others who have gone through something similar, I am with you in this journey. It's not easy. I know some people will make fun and say "look at these losers. Porn addiction isn't real. Porn is fun. Porn is good" screw them. Porn is like any other thing that can be addictive and unhealthy. You need food to survive right? But you can be addicted to that too to a point that it's unhealthy. But yet we don't laugh at that because those health concerns actually do matter as well. So why is porn and sex addiction any different. I'm talking today to let everyone know that I am going to try one more time and appreciate any support or advice.
you must understand why you turned to porn, what you were feeling and why? what happened to lead you to that acting out.
I have just entered into a relationship and its been a lot of information for her to learn and understand.
My sobriety says no sex until marriage, so imagine in an age where sex is everywhere telling someone that.
my sobriety of almost 11 months also says, no sex, no porn, no masturbation, and i have stuck to that reaching out when issues come up, going to meetings. doing the step work and more.
The temptation will never go away if anything when we get weak, complacent, in reprieve is when we are vulnerable and subjectated to acting out.

I have been struggling with hope as I see the increasing darkness in the world. Lately I have began to pray for more hope in my life and I feel God giving me more hope.
I had over 100 good days and then two bad ones. After indulging in this sin I felt so angry at myself and terrible. I am getting up in the strength of the LORD and continuing to try and praying. It gets really hard after a relapse to not fall back into sin. These past three days have been difficult for me.
