A place where wives, ex-wives, and girlfriends of sex offenders can share with each other.
My husband has been unemployed for 3 years because of his tier 1 offense from the late 90s. We unfortunately live in the Bible Belt so he's probably never going to work again. What are some things he can do to occupy his time so that he isn't just sitting at home waiting for me to get off of work?

Maybe attend SA meetings and find a support group to create more contacts? Maybe do volunteer work where he is allowed?

My husband struggled with this for a long time when we lived in the south. For awhile he really didn’t do anything except wait for me to get home. It was hard on both of us because he really needed my 100% attention from the second I got home, only because he was so lonely. He finally found a hobby, rebuilding an old car, and that really seemed to help. It gave him purpose. If your husband can find something, even small, that could give him purpose, that could help a lot.

MinnesotaPanda, yes, it is exactly like that. He has expressed interest in photography not involving people, but in not sure if it's a good idea for an RSO to go around taking a bunch of pictures. Lol.

Maybe bird watching. It’s a fun hobby.

EMP88364- I actually think photography could be great. He may have to stick to wildlife or urban inanimate objects, but it could provide an escape for him. Also, there could be a lot of work processing the photos, and he could potentially sell them, which would help him feel like he is contributing to the household or give him some spending money he earned himself. I have found that anything that helps my husband feel more confident and like the man he was before, everything is better.
