Anyone who wants to talk about how they are feeling in regards to getting separated and those who are divorced
Does anyone know if a sexless marriage with no financial support is legal grounds for divorce? My husband and I haven't had sex for over 18 months and he's probably paid for three bills for our household in our 6 years of marriage. I have covered the majority of his expenses for 5 years and recently stopped because my income decreased by half and I just couldnt do it anymore. This included a $900/month rental that he needs to be able to see his other child from a previous marriage as his child lives in another state. He keeps telling me that he's going to get a job but doesn't. Our son is special needs and has a variety of medical expenses. I must cover all of them. My husband said he would get counseling but that hasnt happened. I desperately want things to get better but it's been years and I only see them getting worse. Are the courts understanding of the emotional stresses of a sexless marriage and do they believe that each party should share in the financial responsibilities of the home and their child? When I ask him to help with the bills he says he is not required to as it was my home prior to the marriage, but if he resides here and so does our child shouldn't he help?

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I would suggest getting your finances squared away and separate from him, now. You need to protect yourself now. Once a divorce starts, he is going to try to get money, which sounds like it is your money.
Sorry you are going through this.
