I have heard alot of good stuff about this book, but the only book I can find close to this title is "Sensational Kids" is this the same book? If not, would you recommend one over the other?

What I am looking for is practical tips at home and with the School District in explaining my sons needs...

I have not seen either one, but good luck with the school. SI is the ONE THING the school is really not willing to consider in our case. I think they are finally understanding the OT department has a job, but they are too busy sitting in useless IEP meetings to deny kids.... sorry had to vent.. I just have a bad school district, and tha's an understatement. I suggest you request a complete evaluation and get the district to present it's side then start the debate and process.. Sent a letter tot he school principal and require a complete OT/sensory eval as well as all learning evaluation to insure he will not fall through the cracks and be pushed aside!

Hi there. I'm new here, but I was recently on another forum and I was recommended Sensational Kids as the book about sid. I did an internet search on Sensational Children and found an organisation for children with disabilities but not a book by that title. I'd have to guess that the 'famous' one is sensational kids

I havent heard of that book, I do know the out of sync child is really good,

I was lucky that my daughters OT goes to school with her 1 day a week and is really intuned to her sensory needs...

I haven't heard of that book but here are some that I thought were very helpfull!

I've heard of "Sensational Kids" as being the one about SID. I looked about Sensational Child on the net and no luck. I heard about the 'Kids' one on another forum.
