After becoming too scared to leave my rental house for any reason,,,grocery shopping, taking the dog out,,etc.(Actually I was scared I couldn't get back in the house because of some dangerous steps.), my two sisters decided I need to move to an assisted living complex. They were too expensive so they found a senior living apartment complex run by the Salvation Army. I'm having trouble adapting to it. There are laundromats inside and I'm about a block and a half away from a grocery store( I can still drive a car.). There are ramps, but there are a few problems. Since I have a dog, Kit, he needs to go out ever so often, but has to be carried to a courtyard. He cannot be walk anywhere inside the building. The garbage bins are outside and up a hill which takes a lot out of my legs, making trash trips only once a week. There is no help with anything inside the apartment like moving furniture,,only normal maintenance. I just can't feel comfortable here. Is anyone having the same problem?
