I met my hubbie in a chat room. Long story short, he moved here from England an we've happily married for 17 years. We talked for a year on line before he made his fist visit. We hit it off and he went back, quit his job, packed his stuff and moved back. Never been happier.

I'm a man. I'm 60 and I live in Fort Worth. I have given up on date sites. I never talked to a woman about sex, yet, so many women have been hit on so hard by men about sex, that they really have no interest in meeting. A lot of women have issues from past relationships too. in 3 years, I've met maybe 3 women, who were incompatible. I'm looking for a long term relationship, and I want it all... Not just the best parts, but all of it. If there's any ladies who want that too, message me and let's get to know each other and see how it goes. Oh - and I am a smoker. That's an issue these days.

I feel the same way I would like to meet someone just to watch tv with or go to dinner with those group meetups aren't for me either. I don't know what about Match.com that's scary also they have widow/widower's site's you can join but I haven't done that too soon for me.

I can accept not wanting marriage or not to live together because it would be better IMO if the Lady has her own home and her own money and her own life, and I have my own, and then yes we can be "companions" and friends in life.

But of course what this normally means with women is that they want all the trappings of a relationship without having sex and never giving her heart, and that is a hard thing for any man to accept.

When the Lady does not love me or has no affection for me then that takes all of the fun out of it and it takes all of the meaning out of the companionship - and then it becomes like the high cost of going to a Dentist.

If a woman only wants a companion then they are just being selfish and a user - so go get a dog - instead of using a man who wants affection.

Me too I want to meet someone for conversation and perhaps a lunch or night out but nothing to serious. It took my late husband 5 years to get me to marry him. I'm slow to make major moves. But dinner or coffee and friendship I'm all for.
