Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
Try to make yourself see that you are not worthy of hurting yourself; you're better than that; you deserve to be free of injuries and pain; you can also see a professional so that they can give you better suggestions and advice on why you should want to stop hurting yourself.
I've also been seeing mental health professionals since i was 11 and nothing has helped me.
No matter how hard i try to find a reason to stop, i can't.
One of the largest things that helped me to stop was seeing there is a larger world beyond me. I had a miscarriage while in a bad relationship and decided the guy wasn't worth my pain.
I hope you never go through this.
One thing I'd suggest is spending your time helping others to get beyond the focus of harming yourself.
Volunteer at an animal shelter, read to smaller children, or allow your scars to heal long enough to donate blood, etc.
I found giving to others (willingly) helped me to realize the value of my existence.
Hope this helps.
Nothing seems to help me sort out my shit. I feel so helpless about my self harm.
