I have a really strong urge to cut right now. Im currently dealing with an infected tear duct, or dacryocystitis. It hurts and waters alot and i have to take two pills twice a day for a week to heal it and have to put a hot cloth on my eye once an hour and massage whenever i can. I dont even know why im making a big deal out of this, but its bugging me. Ive had it for 5 days now, and i will have it for another week or so.
I cant go to my current therapist right now because she wants me to go to a more intelligent therapist whose a professional in what im dealing with. But thats in a month, i usual see my therapist once a week. Then three weeks went by and i didnt see her so i made an appointment with EMDR dr and she talks to my therapist and they both agree, get professional help and a support group and then my therapist will be by my side again.
So waiting, with a painful eye. Made about 47 days without SI and im about to break down. Ill crape my skin hard with a push pin if i need to.
Plus i havent hung out with any friends in a long time and i think the loneliness is starting to get to me. I mean i stay at home with my parents and brother but i never talk to my brother, my dad is always yelling at his computer game and the only time he'll go out is to walk with me or to go to drs, and my mom, well her medication is making her all weird. She takes many naps during the day and her toe is currently broken, as well as her ankle being sprung, so i cant go many places with her.
Sorry for rambling, just needed to get this off my chest. I still want to cut though, its so easy to think of it when hard times are present.

I have an idea od what you are going through as well, I been dealing with a UTI for 6 months now, and it refuses to go away. Having it for such a long period of times, causes me time and time again to SI myself. It's so hard not to falter at times like these, I know, but try to hold on for a little bit longer, I'm sure your eye infection will clear up soon :-) and I am here if you ever need to talk.

I can totally relate to the being sick part, I am dealing with chronic pain that many people seem to not understand. What is helping me is lots of sleep (its proven that sleep can heal sickness), kicking back and watching some good TV show, and laying around in my PJs all day. I know that sounds lazy, but when you are sick you have to rest because it doesn't make the mental health problems any easier. Give your self permission to rest. And get out that rubber band if you feel like cutting. But most of all, rest. HugZ!
