I went to the ER during Christmas of 2010, because i slit my leg and it was pretty deep to where i can see the muscle so i thought i needed stitches, My husband took me to the ER but instead of finding a doctor that was caring or compassinate, I got yelled at and felt it would be better if i bleed out nd die then to ever set foot in an ER again. Health care in america sucks, specially since i went to the ER with out insurance. The bill just to walk in was a total of 2000, and i didnt even get stitches, i got glued and that only cost 90$ on the bill the rest was taking up a presious hour of that doctor s time. I still continued to cut after that, but i continued to go deeper and never set foot in the ER again. Now the bill collectors are always calling. to this day demanding 500$ that remain on the bill, I only owe the doctor's lawyer like 200$ I know it must seem easy to pay off but not when my husband nd i work two jobs each just to make ends meet. My husband just wants to keep paying them and to get them off our backs, i feel as if that'll never happen :( they will always be demanding more and more from us. I am glad i did learn a leson and thats Dr s really cant be trusted all the time
