I can answer more once you answer these questions...
As you can probably tell without too much thought I'm a blood letter. I've been a chronic pain pt. for 30+ years, I don't even feel it when I cut myself, so there's no pain issue for me...but there are times when the BiPolar and the wonky brain just gang up on the Rational Brain and convince me that if I just lose a pint or so.....all the crap and evil inside will flow out with it.
You need to be aware of what you're feeling and what you're doing, because it's a pre-cursor to Self Harm. I know it does not sound rational, and you probably almost laugh it off....but it is very easy when in an anxious, worked up state for your brain to convince you that hurting yourself will make it all better and it will feel very good. Then you do it once, twice, three times and before you know it your hurting yourself everyday every chance you get because that is the only thing that works to make you feel better. It is more addictive than any drug and it is hellishly near impossible to stop once you start.
If you see a Therapist or Counselor for you Anxiety I urge you with all sincerely to talk to them about these feelings, this is not something you ever want to start, if you have a chance to stop it before it becomes a problem, take that chance and do all you can to stop it.
Have a good one,
Kat
