As a comment to something i posted earlier someone mentioned cutting and night terrors. Now I do not cut with night terrors, but night terrors is honestly where my self injury began. As a child and even still today when im having night terrors I clench my hands around my arms, stomach, legs wherever they are at the time and drag down. This results in awfluy deep and painful bloody scratches. Most of the time I have no control over this and I do it in my sleep, and I end up waking up to awful scratches that sting like a bitch that for some reason leave pretty bad scars. I have quit cutting for almost a year ? little over a year?? but have not managed to quit this. I was just wondering How are you supposed to quit something you have no control over?

There is some sort of therapy technique involving training your subconscious that is supposed to help that. I'm sorry that i can't remember what it is called. If you are currently seeing a therapist you might want to ask about something like that.

I feel your pain and I am sorry you have to go through this, I myself have become extremely violent during sleep hurting others and myself, At 6 foot 2 and 175 lbs add a whole bunch of adrenaline pumping through me is and its a recipe for hurt, I have resorted to tying a rope to each wrist and run it under the bed so I cannot swing hitting anyone. I also use that so i can only lye on my stomach. I have not found a way to control it yet and I dont think I will i just try to protect the people around me and myself, its odd having ropes near your bed but its better than hurting someone or yourself, I had one last night.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
