They also have PreferOn for better healing of scars. When I heal I have big, red scars called keloid scars. They itch more and have thinner skin than normal scars while they heal, but all need moisture.
I know what the doctor gave you - it was a patch of silicone. It worked really well for a couple scars on my shoulder (from bug bites, not SI) and I wish I could get it again. It was called Rejuvesse (or spelling very close to that.) It's something you have to wear 4-6 weeks, but wash with gentle soap once a week, changing the tape holding it down. It was cost-prohibitive to use on other scars I have, as the tiny little square was about $30 for a 1 1/2" square. There was a longer one but that was really expensive. I haven't seen it for a long time.
One of the scars on my shoulder I had a dermatologist look at and he did a steroid injection. It took two and it was flat and almost unnoticeable.
I won't do that with the ones on my arms, though. Those are there because of pain and other things, and I want to be reminded of how far I've come. Good luck all and happy new year!
high histamine level discovered in blood test in teens. don't learn til adulthood that this means itching in this body lasts longer than in other ppl.
get a bite: itch, scratch
scratches begin to heal: itch, scratch some more...
part of the root of our cycle (our = me, this writer's body)
cutting started around 10 and stopped around 48.
now obesessed with picking tiny red spots, plugged pores, rough skin patches (like on healing spots) and anything that doesn't feel smoothe.
Or skin cream.
Something that I have found that helps the itch and the fading is bio oil.
Lmao and it sucks when I'm working out...Coz when I sweat and heat up, they itch so bad that I could tear off my skin
