Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
If you don't mind getting your friend upset, I would simply tell her to get out. You don't need her opinion about this and you aren't interested. It's not her job to check on you and she needs to leave you alone or else. Then just go on and immeaditely talk about something else. She may throw a hissy fit but it will help in the long run for you to set down some guidelines. If she knows you won't tolerate stuff like this, she'll quit.
but i feel the more you do it and usually you end up having despression as well as SI it just seems to go with it. that once life gets tougher you can become sucidual cuz you have the power to end it. just tho my experiences n people ive seen i know its hard for friends to accept SI its just one big stigma these days n u dont need such negative opinions from a friend
Maybe you should ask your friend to do some research online and to leave you alone about it.
Have you told her, calmly, why you feel the need to cut.
Its difficult for people to understand, especially if they can't pinpoint exactly why.
!!Stay strong!!
There is not a soul in the world that knows about my self injuring and i am constantly paranoid that someone will find out! so its not for attention seeking and i never do it in a life threatening way.
i dont think it is thou, because i dont think im suicidal.. and i dont want attention...
one problem. Yeah i cut and i'm suicidal-but the two don't feel connected.
