Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
Although, like you said, it might be stressful, and hard to handle, so I'm happy you were able to cut this off. I've never heard of anything like this, and it's awesome that you could share.
I don't dream about self-harm too much (although due to my meds I have wicked vivid and emotional dreams every freakin' night), but in that dream-ish weird limbo that happens as you wake up in the morning I sometimes imagine really hurting myself. It's disturbing, and I know that I'm dreaming, but I can't control it, and in a weird way it is a little relieving. So I don't find your dreams all that unusual, but I sounds like you have some things to work through if you have a therapist, or are thinking about going to one.
Sadiegirl13 my meds have amplified my dreams as well. I have been seeing a therapist for about 6 months now, and they have been helping me work through a lot of my issues. As you can tell there is still a ways to go, lol.
StillWalking, I don't think you are being rude, I really appreciate your response.
Thank you everyone for responding
