i've been there too. i was doing really good as far as not cutting (been a few months- all cuts were healed) and then i got really upset i cut so deep tissue came out of the cut on my leg. it really scared me. for some reason i thought whenever i stopped cutting for a while that the severity would start over too. but it didn't. it picked up right were i left off (but more cause it felt like it was so built up right before i cut). cutting is an addiction, and like any addiction you don't want to stop- that part is normal.
i know this isn't really advise- except to say that you are not alone in feeling this way. you are doing good, you slipped, it is a setback, but that's ok. let your doc know to find something that might help with your triggers.
don't doubt yourself. the fact that you are really trying is most important. remember that your doc can't fully help you if they don't know the whole problem.
