it is not a good or safe way. please aviod it.
I'm not scared of cutting, have done so many times since then and have destroyed the sensory nerves in my arms - had to have muscles repaired on a few occasions.
I am a Manic Depressive with paranoria and mild agarophobia, I hate myself and cut to punish myself. I have a death wish but do not want to be on my own when I go, neither do I want to do something that will make me a paraplegic.
Have done things I shouldn't have survived but have, have damaged my insides with repeated paracetamol overdoses, many I have refused treatment for when they have done blood tests and found I have taken potentially lethal overdoses.
We are all going to die sometime, I do not see the problem with speeding things up, especially when I've had a good life and worked hard for things, but everything was taken away when the life long Mental Health thing came to the fore and was sectioned. Have nothing left now.
Now, here's why you shouldn't cut in the shower or bath or water or steam of any kind.
Your skin becomes a lot less elastic when you're in a hot shower or bath, and therefore is easier to cut. Easier does not mean better. This is really dangerous because you can hurt yourself a lot worse than you intended without even trying. You can bleed worse than you would if you were not in the shower or bath and, in the worst case scenario, go into shock if you bleed too much.
I'm sorry if it comes off as hypocritical because I said that I cut in the shower too. Just keep in mind that I'd rather sound like a hypocrit and have you know the facts and stay safe! Also, I'm recovering and haven't cut in a little over a month.
