Are you Catholic? I'm just asking because I know how judgmental and unwelcoming they are. And you do NOT have to repent your sins to anyone but God. Priests are blasphemous and act like they can forgive you from sin by telling you what to do. It's not even any of their damn business. It's between you and God. You don't have to tell your husband anything either, or anyone else for that matter. And if you do go to church you don't have to act happy to please people. Just act how you feel. Screw them and what they think. They're not better than you. Your husband is not better than you. You need to tell him your sins are none of his business and he's no better than you. And if you're talking about cutting as a sinful desire, it's not. If he wants to judge you for that then fuck him. He doesn't understand. Nowhere in the Bible does it say "Thou shall not cut." lol. That's fucking stupid and he needs to grow the fuck up and be supportive instead of being an asshole.

I'd just like to point out that Catholics are not judgmental and unwelcoming. It is a much hated stereotype created by ignorant people who had bad experiences with a FEW certain people who happened to be Catholic. And God personally appointed Priests to spread his word much like Jesus did with the apostles. Know facts before spreading "blasphemy".

To reply to the actually topic though, just be who you are and be honest. Try to negotiate. Find a new church or just go in solitude and pray if you believe in God. Honesty is the best policy! If you repent or not, he doesn't need to force you, but guide you! Good luck and stay strong!

i dont mind catholics, my family is but im christian :-) but needless to say after church i did school my husband in the bible about evaluating urselves honestly by faith and not thinking u are better than everyone else. I win! lol but no on a serious note i did find a last razor blade that i found a week l8er and he threw it out :-( i didnt fight him though

And guess what? So have thousands of atheists, muslims, etc. Just because a person does bad things, doesn't mean everything they were in life or what they believed in is wrong. There's the ignorance factor that I was speaking about. If a Buddhist monk molested a kid would that mean Buddhism is now an evil religion? Nope! Only to people such as yourself. So YOU get your facts straight.

Ever heard of John 20:21? Before Jesus grants the apostles the authority to forgive sins, Jesus says, "as the Father sent me, so I send you." As Christ was sent by the Father to forgive sins, so Christ sends the apostles AND THEIR SUCCESSORS forgive sins.

Read the bible if you wish to argue the bible.
