Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.

I saw this on another group and thought I would spread it.
i remember the days when these forums had 2 or 3 different games bouncing around them. now, they not only provided distracting fun, but they also allowed those more quiet members to pitch into the discussion, if you will. they were nice little community bonding activities, ya know? so, that being said, i figured i'd bring back an easy classic:
word association. c'mon, you've all done it, it's not that hard.
(but for those who don't know...i'll explain the rules)
it works like this:
- one random word begins the game
- the next person to play posts a word related to the one that came before theirs (so, for example...someone says "kibble," the next person could add "hound" or "dog" or whatever they'd like as long as it relates)
-- here's the fun part, notice how i said the new words have to relate? well, it has to relate in some way, but not everyone will necessarily make the same connections. so one person could say "chocolate", and another could respond with "delicious," while someone else might put "allergies". see? two totally different responses
- for the rest of the game...it's lather, rinse, repeat.
now that i've gone through explaining the game and thoroughly confusing you, let's begin, shall we?
