Self-Injury Support Group
Whether you or someone you know or love struggles with self-injury, this is the community to discuss your experience, find support, meet others going through the same, and get advice on how to stop. Working together, we can help find alternative coping skills to reduce the urge to self-harm.
Try introducing a good routine for before bedtime, time to unwind and relax, maybe a hot bath, a drink, maybe a small snack or some reading. This includes having a specific bedtime which you need to try and stick to, this will help your body (over a few days or a week) get into the habit of knowing that this is the time to go to sleep.
If you cant get to sleep within an hour try getting up doing something (going to the bathroom) or reading abit. then go back to bed and try again.
One more thing is try and avoid watching tv or being on the computor too close to bedtime, i know this might seem hard but if sleep is that bad its worth a shot, watching tv or computor screens stops the release of melatonin which is the sleep hormone.
These are just a few ideas, please message me if you like and i can help. If things dont improve or get worse it might be an idea to go and see your GP there are also natural remedies you can buy over the counter like 'kalms'
Hope this is helpful to you.
