Scoliosis affects all ages. Unlike the naturally occurring curves in the spine, scoliosis causes the spine to curve abnormally to the left or right.
Just wondering if anyone out there has had a full back massage years after having scoliosis surgery. I had my surgery 25 yrs ago. Fusion and harrington rods....mid back area. Thank God I have been great!!! I just feel weird about getting massages. I'm afraid they might mess up something in there. Would it be ok? Just wondering. I can't remember the last time I saw a doctor regarding my back. It's been years...my childhood dr already passed away. So I wouldn't go through the trouble of seeing a dr just to ask if it's ok to get massages.

Massages are great! Especially the deep tissue ones! I had my surgery in 1996 and it definately helps with muscle spasms.

I second 1curvymama. I recently had my curve worsen, post-surgery, and deep-tissue massage has been a God-send for me. Helps my pain and discomfort HUGELY. Find a great massage therapist and it could be really great for you. I had to go through a few before I found someone who could do any good--it was like the first two were afraid to work around my spine or something. And unless someone digs in, I don't get much benefit...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
