Sciatica Support Group
Sciatica is a term meaning pain that originates from compression of the sciatic nerve, the longest and largest nerve in the body. If the sciatic nerve is pinched or compressed (perhaps by a bulging disc in the low back) a patient may experience leg pain--the classic symptom of sciatica.
It is mostly a dull ache and the really weird thing is that now I have just a muscle flick, almost a tickle, down by my ankle. Irritating as hell sometimes, but at least no wracking pain.
It also occurred to me that as much as I like this forum, it really needs some success stories.
Me, I'm sooooo much better, tho still sleeping in recliner. Will discuss MRI results with doctor this week. I still have numbed area in leg, don't mind the prickles because it seems to me this is sign of heaking.
Hope weather improves so I can get back to walking doggy everyday-- doggy hopes this, too.
