Sciatica Support Group
Sciatica is a term meaning pain that originates from compression of the sciatic nerve, the longest and largest nerve in the body. If the sciatic nerve is pinched or compressed (perhaps by a bulging disc in the low back) a patient may experience leg pain--the classic symptom of sciatica.

ct scan shows disc damage again. but my other side sounds more like piriformis.

First thing - get another doctor. You need decent pain relief so you can work on the solution. Are you doing any physio or massage etc? If exercise is making the pain worse I would think you need to find specific exercises for your pain. And some gentle stretches. It's hard to be reduced to this if you were once an active person. But you have to start somewhere. I have been researching a lot on nerve pain, neuropathic pain, sympathetic pain and on it goes. I have no solution yet but at least think I am on a path to finding a way to manage the pain. I'm researching Dr Jollie Bookspan at the moment. Interesting hints and tips - all free. I would be keen to know how you are getting along.
