Sciatica Support Group
Sciatica is a term meaning pain that originates from compression of the sciatic nerve, the longest and largest nerve in the body. If the sciatic nerve is pinched or compressed (perhaps by a bulging disc in the low back) a patient may experience leg pain--the classic symptom of sciatica.

I found it hard to find reviews of IDD therapy for sciatica that weren't testimo45nials on websites advertising the therapy, so I have started it, and want to do an unbiased review of the treatment for my sciatica/herniated disk at L4-L5.
Background...I am 44 and have been suffering from bouts/weakness for about 7 years. I never had an MRI but had PT years ago that helped, but with kids and moving, etc. I kind of stopped.
Last fall I started hurting again, to the point where I really couldn't do a lot, so I found a massage therapist. I saw her 1-2x a week and it really kept me up and going, but she left for the summer and I fell apart.
Last week I was just playing in the ocean, and by the next day I was in so much pain I could not walk or get up from bed/chair, my whole pelvic/sacral area was in spasm. I went got an MRI to confirm my herniated disc, got on Pain relievers and muscle relaxers just to function.
Today will by me 5th of 20 treatments. It is an interesting machine, but I find the treatments relaxing. You sit on a heating pad for 5-10 minutes, then climb into these harnesses, and put a TENS unit on your back...
My first 3 treatments didn't do much, but they increase the "pulling" every time. Yesterday for the first time I appeared to stand up a little straighter. The technicians tell me that most people start feeling better after about a week. I am optimistic, and will keep you all posted! I am curious if anyone else has tried this yet? I am fortunate the insurance is covering it.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
