This is so true. I love my psychologist and would rather see him than take my meds (but I still do). I think a balance between therapy and meds is the best. But I know I was a lot worse off before I started seeing him. I am even going back to uni.

What a great article! Thanks, Mark! I agree with braincandy for me, anyway, a mix of therapy and meds seems to do the trick for the most part. I don't particularly like the side-effects, but they're better than psychosis.

I agree with this article. My prognosis with Schizoaffective Disorder has greatly improved since I started weekly talk therapy. I love it. I just came back from a session and it helps me so much. I feel like the meds for me are necessary too, I take Saphris and along with the therapy it is helping a lot.

There's a correction at the end of the linked article. They messed up a lot of the info:
