Hi, I am writing to update everyone on how my schizophrenia has been this past month of April. For most of the month I have been doing okay. Then in the last two weeks; Basically, last week and this week, I have been having some schizophrenic thoughts or possibly voices. I go to a community mental health center. I'm taking some classes there. There's this guy, Greg in my Art Therapy class who likes me and I like him. I've frightening thoughts or I think it's some type of schizophrenic voice telling me that he's going to killed by someone. It scares me, though I know and remember it's not real, even if it sometimes feels real in my mind. I hope these killing/death thoughts don't sound crazy or stupid.I really dislike these kind of thoughts As far as hallucinations, One April night, I remember seeing a flash of white lightning floating in the middle of space, in front of my eyes in my bedroom. It was quite a strange visual hallucinations. Other than that, seeing shadowy shapes, or thinking I saw a shadow of a human shape walking across the street in a caldasack facing east from my families house. Other than that I don't remember any other problems with the schizophrenia. As far as medication I am still on 20mg of Abilify. These last two weeks, I've wondered if the Abilify is actually working for me or if it's time to change to a different medication. I've been on it a whole year and 5 months. I've heard about two different new medications for Schizophrenia. Invega Sustenna and Latuda. Is anyone taking either of these and do they work for you? I don't know much about them. I have some good news to share; I am going to be trying a new psychiatrist this May and see if they can come up with a better combination of medication that will help me get my symptoms under control and help me feel better. I was planning on asking the new psychiatrist about Invega Sustenna and Latuda. Anyways, I hope that this new month of May sees me feeling better.
