processing things 'out'

I recently had a bad experience with a relationship.
It has kind of affected me and I find myself trying to
process the nature of it - and hoping that time is the best drug
to just get back to normal.

I know that all relationships don't last - I am grateful for the long term relationships that have remained.

Does anyone ever have to just process things out - turn it over in your mind - keep at keeping busy - and just wait for time to 'take care of it.?"

I almost think that 'the processing" i am talking about - the processing of emotion - is what gets inverted or corrupted in a person with SZ and so when we process that can turn into a paranoid delusion etc...

I find my self doing the same and some times things just eat at me. Until I just let it go.

I'm always being told I think to much. Often it's when I withdraw after issues with a relationship that I tend to overanalyze the most. I think most of it's to stop me trying to rationalize impulsive behaviour that I know I will regret. Although the withdrawal doesn't go unnoticed and is in the realms of irrational anyway. I just need a lot of space to work it all out in my head often.

I absolutely relate. I used to say I had a broken processor. It takes me time to process, especially interaction with others. I have to go away and think about it. But it's like my brain is thinking about it all by itself. I am just feeling anxious until it's done. Made it real hard to hold a job and yes, the voices start discussing and everything so I think may be that does lead to delusions.

I haven't been on this site in a long time. Good to see more folks using it. Perhaps I will start checking in more! :)
