I have it pretty bad too. I think people have rigged my house with cameras and they watch me all day. They even hide in the woods and watch me through the windows.

yep --- me too! ... cameras,microphones,playback equipment to "radio" it into my head .... folks in the woods & btwn bldgs at my apt complex yelling stuff at me from behind trees & bldgs -- only go out @ nite or in (hired) car that has completely "blacked-out" windows ---I wear all black long clothes w/ hoodie up & mirror shades when outside ... people yell & call me "unabomber" etc --- :-)

I've never had really bad paranoia but I have had it. I went through a phase of being convinced people could read my mind. It still scares me sometimes. I used to be too scared to talk at one point incase the person could tell what I was thinking.

Exsteam. i recently came off meds due to pregnancy and oh boy. it has got better a bit but just changed. people and me are like no no area. i have real issues with everyone. was beter last week but had 2 stressful appointments last week which made me relapse a bit. i am now waiting to recover agin.

i always feel like people are watching, recording me with a video camera, radio, and following me. the anti psychotic med helped alot though. i dont like the weight gain but i dont like the paranoia i had either.

I've had bad paranoia too. I thought kids in my school were out to kill me. I was terrified. They asked me question like, "What class do you have next?" and "Where do you sit at lunch?" Now I'm on medacine and it went away. But i question the gang members that may be out to kill me to make sure i dont kill one of them first.

holy moly....i have all those symptoms right now...and its bad :( i think that cameras are recording me to blackmail me or to remember to kill me.... i think that in my mirror, special cameras where put to read my thoughts, so i try not to walk infront of it. but...my mother yells at me for being so paranoid, and gets mad. my friend even yelled at me to ger normal and quit it. i kno how you feel. and...i think the german gov. is out to kill me cuz i want to look somthing up on the internet....and they even block my cell phone for a bit. i give you my full support. you can make it through, even if i dont :) go get em tiger

My paranoia used to be really bad until I got put on Invega. I thought there were cameras in my house and people were watching and recording me at all times. I thought people could read my mind and that I could read theirs. I even thought someone was contaminating my water and I would dump out bottles of water down the sink or just not drink any water. I also thought people were out to kill me and I ended up doing something really crazy and ended up in the ER. Paranoia really sucks and it totally messed up my life. I had to leave school and quit my job and I almost lost my life because of it. I still get a little paranoid about evil people being around but the rest of the paranoia is gone because of the meds.

I'm really mostly just phobic. What is the difference between phobic and paranoid?

I'm afraid of the dark. I've been up 3 nights this week, flashlight in hand, patrolling every shadow, staring down every glimmer of light, and fighting off every sound. Ha. Sure... more like cowering and crying every second till the sun rose and I could finally fall asleep again.

I too think that people can read my thoughts. They sort of spill out and people pick them up. Scary!

And also the government is poisioning our food! and our water. And that the economy will drop into a depression and we'll all starve.

Well I don't think I have schizophrenia, but I have social anxiety and do get awfully paranoid when people are walking next to me. I do think my step dad has cameras, but only because he mentioned it once.. hmm. Most of my paranoid feelings are about my nervous system.. I don't trust it and I think certain food or medicine will kill me. I can definently understand how being paranoid feels.. but maybe not to the extent of schizophrenia. Speaking of "research".. I research a LOT about schizophrenia and other mental related topics and I get paranoid when anyone walks by the room and get this feeling in me that says "just leave me alone!"

It has been a few months since I first commented on the thread but I see there are lots of people in my boat. Lately I have started thinking people are watching me eat. So I have been hiding while eating. I am not so afraid to eat with my husband but to eat in public is awfully hard.

I definitely don't like people watching me eat. If I'm putting butter on a bagel I get paranoid because there were times when I ate so much butter that it freaked my mom out, especially knowing I have pretty high cholesterol. I believe cholesterol is good for your nervous system though.

I think that people are watching me from the tv set. That they're watching me and talking to me through voices in my head. It's not very possitive most the time either. THe voices are almost always negative. The only way I can live my life is to just ignore all of it. It's not easy because it's painful. Im working with my doctor on believing in a world where no one is watching me even though it seems impossible. The thing is believing in the impossible is much more painless than the other option.
