i once had hope that i could function in normal every day life even if symptoms got bad, but that was just wishful thinking i know that now, ive tried so hard to just be normal and hold a job down but its like im starting to loose even the basics of brain functions nothing sticks in my head because my heads so clouded with a million different things and thoughts that have no meaning plus when i stress out the hallucinations get really bad and i cant concentrate at all its as if im losing the ability to think as if my minds deteriorating into mush even the most basic of functions are seeming harder and harder to wrap my mind around im so lost i just dont know what to do any more i feel like im just slipping further and further away into a realm of total confusion and chaos the world as it is doesnt make since to me any more
I feel the same as you. I cannot work either. I had so many plans for my life and have not met the milestones because of my illness. I know about the confusion and muddle of thoughts. My world is getting more chaotic as time goes by as well. I am so sorry this is happening to you too. I hope something changes for the both of us but i am scared that we are doomed to live like this.

Am new to this group and don't do much talking on the net but am finding this very helpful. I am in a relationship with someone diagnosed as schizophrenic. It's really hard but the things you explain help me to understand my partner better. I must admit I feel guilty because sometimes I have a sense that he should "snap out of it and get moving" though I am getting to understand just how unfair - even as a feeling - that is. I would like to find out from you: is it possible for you during "an episode" to explain what you need? I find this fruatrating with my partner because he often won't talk to me and gets very agitated when I ask him what I should do? It's very confusing. Also, what do you guys think of meds out there for the condition. My boyfriend is very anti medication as he thinks it enslaves him by making him lazy and also because it makes his appetite (for food) totally out of control. I wish you all the strength and although I can't imagine what you are going through I have hope and wish you all the love in the world.
