never enough?

I don't know if this is a symptom of the illness or what - I just know at times I get real tired of trying to keep myself satisfied/occupied. It's nearly like what I would imagine being an addict is like.
Right now, I feel stressed and kind of stretched to the limit. I got introduced to a new concept today. I don't know how to describe it to all of you.
It's like my sense of self judgement is standing in the way of me being good to myself and treating myself like a person rather than a thing that should be doing all of the stuff he's supposed to. I've come online here to try and enjoy my time with all of you.

I think I get what you are saying. Do you mean that you think so poorly of yourself that you feel all you are worth is doing the mundane in life instead of what you really wish you deserved i.e. something good. But you don't feel like you deserve joy or goodness. Like you are just going through the motions because you don't deserve to do things that would please you or make you happy?? If so I know how you feel. If not I apologize.

I think you have my leprechaun brain malibumark...Maybe try pushing the boundaries in some goal setting. Start finding what you want out of life and are capable of doing.

thanks everyone! I woke up this morning - had a great sleep.
Thanks for all your messages. I think I have different ways of analyzing my own behavior. Sometimes I am very much healthful - and other times I can focus in a draconian way (harsh). Yesterday had me take a new vantage to say judge myself in terms of whether I was doing enough with my life. My new perspective had me say, i could be doing more (but we all could do more I suppose.) I just got very stiff and tough with myself and though I can learn from this, I don't think it's a particularly healthy way to be.
So I vented and I am trying to keep positive and flexible. Thanks for reading!

Are you doing any therapy? As CBT sounds like it would do you a lot of good.

I'm not doing CBT - but I've done it before. It is good stuff.
