I don't know if this will make sense but I am just going to say it. For me the problem comes from moods swings and a splintering negative paranoia. Sometimes I hear things - but for me that is not the major problem. The major problem for me is that in the moment I feel a negative paranoia I believe the ultimate conclusion of it - that it's REAL. In the past I have reacted to this and done some stupid things. Major things.

It has affected my ability to have relationships too.

I hope you can come to a forgiveness for yourself, that these are the symptoms of having sz and that you just be compassionate with yourself. You have to take care of yourself too, so being as careful as you can - be good to yourself. Dealing with the symptoms you have takes a lot of energy... so why not go easier on yourself and embrace yourself!

Schizophrenia is a diverse illness, I also get mood swings and negative paranoia throughout the day. The best solution to our illness is that we should stay alone as much as possible so no one sees us and judges us, causes us emotional harm or we don't end up doing anything silly. Remember most of the silly things schizophrenics do are around people, so no people= no problem.

And yes when it comes to relationships, I have stopped thinking about it because its just so hard. Even if we get friends or partner they will start judging us soon.

I think we have the capacity to heal ourselves, and definetely along with a good combo of meds. When i get off the combo of meds of been on for a four years, say a few days without one i start to feel pyhsically sick, nasueas, and really under the weather. Some meds wont work with you, but i had to give some of the meds at least a month so my body could get used to em. That might be the case for all new meds , idk for sure. I really believe we carry the meds...the meds dont carry us. I believe we need them , me i definetely need seroqeul, celexa, risperadol. Thearapy is could tool. When it comes down to it i think we can fix ourselves by conqering mental barreiers. I had to go through fifteen years of hell before i decided to let my self not be perfect...and basically give myself permission to do whatever i have to do to feel good an be happy. Before i would be guilt ridden and never even allowed myself to be a strong person..almost like i had to ask permission from someone,,,doc,,,god,, to let myself be imperfect and enjoy my life no mattter what. The breaking point came with a year of suffering so freakin bad that all i thought about was suicide. SZ sucks....i pray for us with SZ everynight...:}

I think there are two aspects of schizophrenia. You can take it as a gifted and positive illness an use it for positive means.

I can't believe you are taking 3 different medicines, are you taking them at the same time?

Robbie2...idk if u were asking me since i didnt see anything above about three meds. If u were , yes, plus just now klonopin.

I take one medicine per day and that works for me. Three seems a lot.

Yeah , they say the risperadol and the seroquel can cause something like serotonin syndrome?....I just tried to get off the risperadol and i started feeling sick , cold sweats, and i defintely need the seroquel. Same thing happens if i get off the celexa...alll hell breaks lose. It has been mentioned thats a lot of meds by my doc, but seems got no choice. I have wierd twitching , twisting, movements mostly when i sleep. I heard these anti phycotics take at least ten years of ur life. I welcome the fact. seen to many of my grandparents and elderly freinds lose there mind before there body gives out and its would even be worse with mental illness, so if i die at fifty or sixty so be it. All i pray for and toast my glass to is a quick painless death..:}

I don't hear voices. For me the real challenge is fighting the physical symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, and of course depression. I think sometimes I get misunderstood cause of my illness.
