I am seeing glimpses of evil shadow people in my mirrors. Shadow people are normal but not the mirror thing. Now every time I drink something it tastes like poison and one part of me thinks it is the people in the mirror but on the other hand I know it is not true! Sounds so ridiculous. All food is getting a weird texture and it makes me not want to eat or drink anything. These are warning signs that in about two months I will end up in the hospital. I just moved across the country and had to get a new pdoc. I hope he has some ideas. My anxiety is through the roof about all of this and my thoughts are just obsessive. I see him on Monday which means it is going to be a LONG and scary weekend. At my old home I had been on literally over 40 different psych meds and hundreds of combos and two years of ECT. Nothing works for more than 4 months. I am sick of it....any ideas?

I too had ECT and problems finding the right meds...in and out of the hospital numerous times. Started when I was 15 and finally found the right combo of meds after 25 years and the right psychologist 4 years ago. I guess what I want to say is don't give up. Some of us are just hard to treat but that does not mean we are untreatable. Take this weekend minute to minute until you see your new pdoc. Don't give up.

I just checked out some of your other posts and looked at your profile. I read your post here carefully and it grieved my heart. You deal with so very, very much. That you were able to pursue your education and be a functional as you are a testament to your inner strength and my hat is off to you.

My schizoaffective manifests in different ways but I know psychosis well. I battled it just the last couple of days. The one tool that I use most is prayer. Faith in a Loving Being who can and will bring healing and restoration where many said it could never be is all that has kept me from suicide. I am fitfully, awkwardly stepping into my own healing and I know it can happen for you as well. I am going to be praying for you. Please hold on and don't lose heart.

I went to the new pdoc and got klonopin and a tiny dose of trilafon...wait two weeks. Well I see him on Monday and things didn't get any better they got worse. Now the demons are back and out to get me. I have no motivation. I can't even eat without thinking that it is poisoned. Although the klonopin has helped me be able to leave the house a little, it makes me almost fall asleep at the wheel even if I cut the dose in half which at that point does not help the anxiety. I want to ask him to try clozaril again. It helped but they stopped it because i was lightheaded and had a fast pulse but it was actually my thyroid which has been radiated and now on synthroid. I am depressed because of the hallucinations and everything they mean. The destruction in every way of the world I just built up for myself and will have to clean up all the rubble from in a little bit. With every passing day I can see the fear and concern grow in my family's faces. UGHH fml

just remember if the food you had been eating was poisoned you wouldnt be here now, but since you're here now, it's proof that you have NOT been poisoned. and you seem like a nice person. I dont think anybody would want to poison you.

If you always taste something wierd, it could be from a broken or cracked tooth or a cavity. People say that during those it gives off a metallic taste. Maybe get your teeth checked out.

But as for the other stuff, I hope you feel better soon.
