I don't know if this is part of the evolution of schizophrenia or just part of mental illness in general. I don't know if it's part of the moods swing of someone who also is bipolar. Tonight I feel like (and this started yesterday) like I am starting to have dementia. I just feel like I have started to get really out of focus and muddy and loosing my sense of self. I hope I don't trigger anyone by talking about this. I think though as I have tried to be honest with myself and accept certain limits on my life, it hasn't yielded a somewhat stable or 'ok with it' sense of being. I feel a real sense that I could become a stranger to myself (and that's nearly happened.) I want to take control of things. I can't give up. I will soldier on!

i am finding this too, and i don't know if it's the disease, or the meds to fight the disease. sometimes my mind goes into `movie' mode and i lose touch with being anything but an observer.
dissosciated behavoiur, i know, but the weird thing is i don't even watch movies.
