Hello, I'm Krystal. I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder bipolar type a couple months ago. I haven't started any treatment due to lack of insurance, money, and waitlist I keep being told to call back for. I'm here for two reasons, for support for myself, and because this is really hard on my family and my husband isn't sure what his role is. He is a great support but doing so all alone and it is getting to him. So yeah...

Could you or your husband get Pastoral counseling? You don't have to be religious and they might
let you pay what you can afford. Maybe the library has books on family helping with a mentally
ill family member. That might give some good advice.

It's a good thing y0u have a husband. My therapist just started telling me what they think all of this bottled up anger is coming from. I haven't had a romantic partner since 1998. My anger has increased since I left my biological family. Things were getting worse, since them paying for a vehicle for me to get to work. I lost the account a couple weeks ago. My father called about getting the rental for me to work the weekend, but I never called him back cause I lost the job. Other than that it's very clear they don't want anything to do with me. Very stressed out cause I'm out on my own. But I'm also very proud I'm pulling my entire weight around.

You could try using meditation. It sounds lame, but it’s helped me a lot. Mindfulness meditation and progressive muscle relaxation have helped me a lot. Also, my local library has a ton of books available on a free online app. I have found the books to be of great help.
